Physicians Surgical Hospitals deliver quality care to the Texas Panhandle from two surgical centers, Panhandle Surgical Hospital and Quail Creek Surgical Hospital; one physical therapy center, Quail Creek Physical Therapy; and a state-of-the-art diagnostic imaging center, Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo. In 2007, Quail Creek Surgical Hospital and Panhandle Surgical Hospital merged to form Physicians Surgical Hospitals. As the Amarillo area grew, Physicians Surgical Hospitals grew as well. In June 2018, Quail Creek Physical Therapy became the next Physicians Surgical Hospitals facility. This acquisition allowed patients to continue their individualized treatment plan after surgery. In February 2020, Physicians Surgical Hospitals brought Advanced Imaging Center of Amarillo into the fold.
It is the mission of the hospitals and its physician partners to provide the highest quality treatment in a safe and caring environment. Physicians Surgical Hospitals has 40 licensed beds between the two surgical hospitals, 29 physician partners and more than 200 credentialed physicians on the medical staff. Physicians Surgical Hospitals have been named among the nation's Best Places to Work in Healthcare by Modern Healthcare for nine years.
